Acceptable Use

SalonWins is operated by [Arcate Labs LLC, State of Operation]. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes what you may and may not do when using salonwins.com, our APIs, our reports, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). It is part of our Terms of Service.

You agree not to

• Scrape or hammer the Service. No automated crawling, scraping, or harvesting of pages, reports, or API endpoints without our prior written consent. We rate-limit and reserve the right to block abusive traffic.
• Abuse the scan API. Don’t run the scan in a loop, parallelize beyond reasonable use, or use it to drive a competing product, dataset, or model-training pipeline.
• Submit other people’s salons without permission. The scan is intended for owners and authorized operators. Don’t use it to dossier competitors, harass another business, or generate marketing material targeting a business you don’t represent.
• Manipulate AI search results through us. Don’t use SalonWins as part of a scheme to deceive AI models, seed false information, astroturf reviews, or generate fake citations. This includes using report output to fabricate “evidence” you were mentioned somewhere you were not.
• Reverse-engineer the Service. Don’t attempt to derive our prompts, model routing, scoring logic, or internal pipelines, including by prompt-injection against report copy.
• Submit malicious content. No malware, no phishing payloads, no content intended to exploit our infrastructure or third-party providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Perplexity, Supabase, Resend, Stripe, DataForSEO).
• Misrepresent identity. Don’t submit false contact details on the lead form, impersonate another business, or use disposable identifiers to evade rate limits.
• Resell or republish reports without our written permission. Reports are for the salon owner who requested them; agencies should contact us for partner terms.
• Use the Service for anything illegal or in violation of any applicable law, including consumer protection, anti-spam (CAN-SPAM, TCPA), and false-advertising rules.

Fair, automated use

We don’t mind reasonable, identified automation. If you have a legitimate need to run multiple scans (for example, an agency monitoring your own clients), contact us first so we can set you up properly.

Reporting abuse

If you believe someone is running a scan of your business without permission, or using our output to harass or defame you, email abuse@salonwins.com. Include the report ID if you have one.

Enforcement

We may, at our discretion, throttle, suspend, or terminate access to anyone we reasonably believe is violating this AUP. For severe or repeated violations we may delete associated accounts and reports without notice and refer the matter to law enforcement.
